To aid you on your path to self discovery we’ll also leverage the Enneagram. The Enneagram is a sense-making tool or a framework that enables the development of self-knowledge and meta-awareness. I offer a variety of flexible coaching options, whether you're interested in a one-time session or ongoing support for yourself or for your team.

an analogy for life

One of my favorite meditation teachers and authors, Joseph Goldstein, says “The ups and downs in the practice...that is all part of the unfolding path.”

A meditation practice is a great analogy for life. We sit with great intention and before we realize it our mind begins to wander, there is an itch behind our left knee, we are suddenly focused on our to-do list and have completely forgotten what we are doing there in the first place. We may or may not get frustrated. We choose to bring our attention back to the breath and begin again. Just as in life, through all the ups and downs in our practice we move forward.

By meditating regularly we “develop a mind that can hold all of that with greater ease.” We develop equanimity so that as leaders we can handle everything that comes our way without getting so thrown off when what happens in life is out of our control (spoiler alert: it usually is).

How many coaching sessions do you recommend?

I recommend we meet twice a month until you feel ready to proceed independently. I am also open to exploring other custom options that will best support your needs.

How do I prepare for our first session?

Please reach out to me to book a chemistry call so we can explore whether we are a good fit to work together. It may be helpful to ponder the question, “How will I have grown after our time together?” prior to our call. Should you decide to move forward, I’ll share some resources to help you better understand the conscious leadership coaching method I leverage as well as a link for an Enneagram test.

What is the Enneagram and how will we leverage it?

The Enneagram is a powerful, internationally recognised coaching tool encompassing nine diverse archetypes of leadership rather than a single style, or assumption, of what good leadership looks like. Each of the nine Enneagram Types represents a worldview and an archetypal way of thinking, feeling and acting in relation to the world, others and oneself. It is more than a profile of traits or behaviours, as it delves deeper into the motivations, defences and fears that lie in the often-unconscious area of our personality.

Discovering your Enneagram Type will lead you to greater self-awareness. At this deeper level of self-discovery, you have the ability for unlocking change at the level of "why we do things" to enable behavioural change. This enables consciousness shifts. I’ll invite you to complete an Enneagram Test through Integrative Enneagram Solutions prior to our first session.

What challenges can a coach help me work through?

I can support you to explore a wide range of topics that arise in your role as a leader inside and outside the workplace. This can range from recycling work issues to frustration over lack of balance in your work and personal life. What will support you in creating lasting change is our focus on the context of your issues (how you are relating to them) vs. the content (the details of the issue itself).
